Description
This mold has one cavity.
Each 3d drop made with this mold has the following dimensions:
- Length: 29 mm (1 1/8″)
- Width: 10 mm (3/8″)
- Truncation area: approximately 6 mm (1/4″)
This mold has a glossy surface.
Mold can have a slit (cut), this option is chosen in the drop-down menu. A cut makes it easier to take the ready piece out of the mold and can be helpful for placing things inside of the mold (plants, etc). If you doubt if to order the mold with a cut or without, please, take into account that you can always make the cut yourself (contact me for an advice how to cut the mold in the best way).
When you use the mold with a slit just adjust two sides on the cut together before pouring epoxy resin. The better the sides are adjusted, the better the result (smaller seam).
IMPORTANT:
The size of the hole in the mold is comparatively small. In some cases this might cause difficulties with placing plants, poring epoxy into the mold or taking out the lense.
For more easy pouring of the epoxy you may use filler to make the hole bigger (which you later take out). Another option is to make a cut / slit on the top of the mold which will give you opportunity to make the hole bigger when you put somwething inside or take the lense out. You just adjust two sides of the cut (slit) together, no need to fix them anyhow else because the mold will keep the shape inself.
