Silicone mold for a crystal. This is one mold for one crystal.
A position of the crystal in the mold: vertical. Please, note that crystal’s top is sharp; be very careful when you take it out from the mold (not to damage the mold with the sharp edges).
A crystal made with this mold has the following dimensions:
- Length: 28 mm (1 1/8″)
- The widest part of the crystal: 17 mm (5/8″)
- Truncanted area: 9 mm (3/8″)
All of our silicone molds are flexible, resistant to tearing, and are durable in use.
You can use silicone molds with the following materials:
- Epoxy resins
- Polymer clay
- Low-temperature melt light metals
Useful temperature range for molds: from -53°C to +232°C / from -65°F to +450°F.
We recommend this mold to well-experienced masters because of the following reasons:
A person who is just starting using molds and working with epoxy resin may find the process of taking a crystal out of the mold a bit difficult. You need some experience with such shapes not to damage the mold (for example with the sharp edges of the crystal).
Some experince is also important to make an epoxy crystal itself to avoid bubbles and to place everything you want inside the crystal in the right way.
But we’re more than sure that with a bit of practice and accuracy everyone can use it.
